Biography

Joshua Helm stands as a partner at Ellis Helm, APC, devoting his expertise to uphold the rights of those who have been harmed and receive the justice they deserve. Prior to his partnership with our firm, Josh carved a distinguished path as a defense attorney representing doctors and insurance companies in complex medical malpractice cases. His wealth of experience as a defense attorney equips him with a profound understanding of defense tactics, enhancing his ability to maximize the value of personal injury cases for our clients.

Josh graduated from Thomas Jefferson School of Law and was the recipient of the coveted Jefferson Scholarship during his academic tenure. He actively contributed to the legal community by serving on the Student Body Association. Josh takes immense pride in his service at the Veteran’s Legal Assistance Clinic, where he provided legal support to struggling Veterans with diverse legal needs.

Beyond his legal expertise, Josh is also a licensed commercial pilot, having previously served as a flight instructor prior to entering the legal profession. Accumulating numerous flight hours across various aircraft types, he earned the distinguished title of “Rookie of the Year” by one of the country’s top flight schools. To this day, Josh continues to fly around Riverside and San Diego whenever time allows. As a partner at the Ellis Helm, Josh’s diverse background brings a unique perspective to our practice, further enriching our commitment to justice.
