California car accidents: 2 deaths, multiple injuries in crash

SERVING TEMECULA AND THE SAN DIEGO METRO

While everyone who uses California roadways is likely aware of the potential of being involved in an accident, few people likely expect that it will happen to them in reality. Unfortunately, car accidents can leave victims suffering emotionally, physically and financially. In fact, police say that two people were killed and several others injured following a recent collision.

The incident happened around 5:30 a.m. on a day in August. According to reports, the driver of a sedan cross over two sets of solid yellow double lines, a rumble strip in a center divider and flexible posts before entering lanes of oncoming traffic. Unfortunately, the vehicle reportedly struck a van with six occupants.

A passenger in each of the vehicles passed away as a result of injuries suffered in the collision. The driver and four surviving passengers in the van suffered major injuries and were transported to the hospital. The driver and a passenger in the sedan were also transported to the hospital for treatment. Police say that they have not ruled out fatigue, alcohol or drugs as factors in the accident.

Unfortunately, even a single moment of inattention is all it takes for car accidents with fatal consequences to occur. As such, all drivers must be alert and vigilant at all times. The families of the deceased must now face a future without their loved ones while the injured victims may have a long road to recovery. Often, the financial consequences of such an incident in California can also create a burden for victims, including surviving loved ones in the event of a fatality. As such, many victims of negligence seek guidance from an experienced personal injury attorney to help them fully explore their legal options.
